Session 1. Toad 101/Introduction to Toad (90 minutes)
New to Toad or just looking to know how to leverage what you got? Come explore the main features of Toad and also discover the Toad community—a network of users just like you—with best practices for using Toad as well as other resources that are available.
Session 2: Working with Data and Reporting in Toad (90 minutes)
Everyone is looking for the most efficient way to get the information they need quickly. With Toad data manipulation is easy with features like the data import/export utility, the SQL Loader, and the data subset wizard and more. Learn how to leverage Toad to extract the right data in the most efficient manner and in the correct format. In addition, discover the features in Toad that will empower you to create automated reports, or generate dynamic reports on demand.
Session 3. Toad for Developers (3 mini sessions)
- Developer 101 (30 minutes)
- An in-depth look at creating, modifying, executing, and profiling PL/SQL—make the most of Toad's roots as a tool for Oracle application developers—including new Toad 8.6 features. Part of this presentation will cover using Toad in a team environment and working with version control software.
- Quality Development (30 minutes)
- This presentation will focus on the features of Toad that make it easy to build in code quality. Learn how Toad can assist with keeping your code efficient, readable, and maintainable and how easy it is to identify and optimize that SQL before it gets into your final product.
- Be Very, Very Quiet. We're Hunting Bugs (30 minutes)
- In this presentation, we will examine how to use Toad's debugging features to track down all of the bugs in our PL/SQL application. We'll also show in this session how Toad's debugger will complement your other IDE environments when working outside of Toad.
